Hey everyone-

I am friends with a group who is trying to buy a new sound system. I have helped them by filling in and helping with the sound set up, recently. The manager showed me a system made by Kustom called Dawn. If you are not familiar with dawn they are very small speakers plus sub and they are supposed to put out 180 degrees. I would say this is similar to the bose system that fills the room with sound. I have only seen one group use this system before...i was not totally blown away but wasn't sure if it was set up correctly. I am not a big fan of Kustom from some of the smaller (ie. cheaper) systems i've heard. Does anyone have any ideas/dealings ect with this?

I tried it and wasn't impressed. I took it to a church for practice and found that it would be very difficult to "fine tune" for the building acoustics. The idea is great - small system for traveling - but it didn't seem to be as good as promised. It may work well if it was permanently installed somewhere because once you got it set up you could leave it there.

I shipped it back and ended up spending over $100 for shipping (both ways)............ An expensive lesson.

I saved my money and this year bought the L1 BOSE system. It was expensive but delivers the sound it promised. It also fits in my car trunk!!
