"But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul." Deut 4:29 NASB When it comes to seeking God, I see such a vast journey. I mean, studying the Bible and prayer. But is not there more? Delving into the original Biblical languages. Understanding the times and customs within the Bible. Silence, listening..and so much more. I mean, there seems to be so much to learn, it is overwhelming, and yet, also wonderful. I would like to learn Greek...and Hebrew, and all there is..but, it is overwhelming...but, are we not all called to do this? C

Concerto, The wonderful thing about the Bible is that it is shallow enough so that a young child or a simple person can read it and be blessed by its simple message of salvation, but it is also deep enough so that the most intelligent person can dig deeply and be blessed as well. So be encouraged - wherever you're at in your journey, God will meet you where you're at! Just starting out? He will reveal Himself to you. Have walked with him for many years? He will show you new, exciting, deep things! Don't be overwhelmed by all that you can't do, start out just doing what you can. Simply pray. Simply read your Bible. And take it from there!

It is when we are caring for otherīs well being, and valuing otherīs better than our own selves, and denying our own will, and offering ourselves in sacrifice and service for the benefit of otherīs: These are the things we ought to do to seek God; but to learn a foreign language has nothing to do with seeking God, rather it has to do with seeking to be a wise and prudent sort, from whom the truth is hid. This is not to say that there is anything wrong with learning another language, but thatīs all it is, and it again has nothing to do with seeking God.

Death to self is the hallmark of the NT. Legalism is the source of all divisiveness...and maintaining a distance from God. Fellowship is the key to our "death" and standing on doctrine the basis of our separation.

One of the hardest lessons that i've had to learn is to walk in the Spirit. Jesus has absolutely got to be the conerstone of everything you do. When we walk in the Spirit and follow Jesus, we do exactly that. Seek God's face daily through prayer, meditation and hearing HIS word. Jesus will lead you wherever HE wants to take you. We just need to be willing to listen, follow and remain in the place HE takes you. HE may be teaching you on humility, love, discipline one of those things. Focus on where it is HE wants you to be and don't worry about the rest. If we are in HIS will(being in the place HE want), than anything else doesn't matter. All things will come in time, just follow Jesus.
