Hey everyone... My name is Shelly; I am Dallas' wife with the inspirations. Right now it's 2am and I was expecting Dallas home about an hour and a half ago from the Singing In the Smokies singing. It's a 106 mile trip one way from where we live to Bryson City through the Ocoee river and the mountains on a very curvy two lane road, if you have every been to Bryson you would know what I mean. I always try to stay up when he is driving home in case he gets tired at the wheel and needs to talk... well I got a call from him and two cars in front of him was a young girl in her 20's driving drunk she swerved and hit a ambulance head on and Dallas had to help the EMS being they were a little shook up. The young girl died at the scene as you can imagine Dallas is pretty shook up as well. I don't know the name of the girl but please keep her family in your prayers! I am heavy hearted at their loss but to think that it could have been Dallas in that wreck and I thank God that he wasn't involved.

I'm praying for the family, Shelly. Also praying for those who witnessed this situation, that they will have peace about it and won't be troubled. We all need to continually pray for our beloved Southern Gospel artists as they travel the highways.

So thankful that Dallas is safe. Will keep all that was involved in my prayers. How difficult it must be for the EMS folks who were involved. Thanks for your concern for everyone.

Shelly, thank you so much for sharing that request with us. I think the greatest privileges we have as Believers is to intercede for those who are going through difficult times and I think sudden death of a loved one is one of the hardest things a family can go through. Thanking God for keeping Dallas safe. So many times, when I pray for the safety of my family, it can seem routine but occasionally I'm reminded that it really is God who brings them back to us safely.
