Luke 12:57 (Power New Testament)
But why are you not even judging what is
obviously right for yourselves?

We were reading this chapter in our morning
studies which we started up again since the
daylight savings time changed. We meet at
6 am. but our bodies thinks it's 7 am.. LOL.

I thought of the various arguments about the
Bible and all the arguments in the political arenas.

I think maybe because of the way this version worded
this verse.

For me, this verse by it self is saying,
Why can't you judge what is obvious?
And holding to that for ourselves.

Back up to verse 40, 'You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.' then vs.54 He also said to the crowds, "When you see a cloud rising in the west, you immediately say, 'It is going to rain'; and so it happens. 55 And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, 'There will be scorching heat'; and it happens. 56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky but why do you not know how to interpret the present time? 57 "And why do you not judge for yourselves what is right?(that Jesus' claim was valid to what He claim to be)'
