I have noticed in the past that some men feel threatened by a woman who knows God's word. So I have to ask.......
Do you think is acceptable for a woman to know God's Word (the Bible) as well as or better than a man does?

I'm so glad you started this thread. I'm interested in reading the responses. (I have a concern that isn't the same but is related. In fact, I think I might post it in He Says, when I figure out how to word my inquiry.)

I see no reason to divide the very obtainable knowledge of the word of God by sexes. It is for everyone.
I also see a danger in 'measuring' who knows more...that can change on any given day as God wills.

Good points.
What I wonder about is related to marriage... specifically when evaluating a man's potential as spiritual leader of the home... esp. if the woman in the pair currently has more book knowledge than the man does. So... that's why I'll post in He Says. Or maybe it should go in Relationships. Anyways.... *thinking, thinking*

In what contexts have you noticed what seem to be intimidated feelings: in church, in Sunday School/Bible study groups, in dating, in friendships?

I tend to separate knowledge and wisdom. I think being a leader takes the latter.

You can start a thread asking men if they are intimidated by women with Scriptural knowledge in He Says, but for other discussions of this nature, it belongs in
