Mom and I were in JC Pennys the other day. Mom was buying some Christmas gifts for me and my niece & nephew. They had lots of clearance things and a 3 day sale. I weigh 93 lbs. and I an 4'6" tall. Even though I am 55, I have to buy my clothes in the girls dept. This is where I got the deal. A pair of off white brushed denium pants for 97 cents! You heard me right. 97 cents for a size 14 slim in the girls dept. I already have a pair like this but for 97 cents I bought them and will embellish them with something. I don't know what but hey, for 97 cents I can get as creative as I want.
Just wanted to share. That happens very rarely to me that I get a deal like this.

I once bought a pair of size 18 Petite slacks off the clearance rack of a department store similar to JC Penney's for $1.99! I bought them to motivate me to lose weight.

My best deal ever was when they were switching out displays of Kitchenaid stand mixers at the store I work at. The retail price was $335.00 and I got it for $17.00.

That is a really fantastic deal! It does make one feel great when they're able to find such an awesome bargain. I would love to see some 97 cents sales here.
We do have JC Penny's close by. I might just have to pay them a visit.

I would totally pay them a visit, Liv4Him06. I don't know if they had anything like that in the woman's dept. as we were in girls but still, you never know. You couldn't make them for 97 cents!

hrmm.. best deal I ever got was on my leather coat that I bought at this store called the olde hide house. It was a $700 coat, but I got it for $129.99 because it was overdyed.. so what? I can't wear white with it.. ten years later and it still looks great and I still wear it!
really wishing there was a JC penny somewhere in Ontario..

Okay, those penny earrings are a better deal than mine ever was. Still, a good deal is a good deal no matter what it is. I like hearing these stories. I hope there are more.

I regularly get good deals at the thrift store: new stuff with the tags still on them sometimes. Whoo-woo!
My kid went off to college with a collection of leather jackets and high-heeled boots, and it didn't break the bank. Yay!

One time my husband and I were getting some furnace filters at Home Depot. When the person rang them up they were .25 cents each. My husband told the cashier the price was wrong, but she said since that's what the register rang them up for so that's all he owed. He didn't feel right about taking them for that price. It didn't bother me one bit! After all, he had made it clear the price was wrong. I was looking at it as a great deal and he was feeling bad about it.
