Just saw the preview for this. It looks like it should have been out for Halloween, but it does look interesting. Is anyone waiting to go see it since you saw the preview?

I would like to see it cause Milla Jovovich is in it.

There was promise in the trailer, but over all it was a poorly constructed, confusing preview. I haven't written the movie off--hopefully future trailers are more successful.

Any movie endorsed by Larry King is an immediate bust in my opinion.

I watched it a couple of days ago. It was a little distracting watching some of the multiple shots they used here and there. You get to see the "real" video footage and the movie version at the same time. Up to 4 mini-screens running at once. Then one screen will grow to dominate the the screen.

The story line isn't revealed very well in the previews. It takes a good part of the movie to work up to the point that you understand what is going on. I thought the acting was good. You work through the process of watching Milla's character conduct sessions with her patients to find out what is causing their sleep deprivation.

Spoilers

By the time you realize that these are alien abductions , you are near the end of the movie. Several patients have killed themselves by this point as well. Watching Milla's character trying to talk one out of his house so he won't kill his family is griping, esp. when it doesn't work. After that point she has the police not believing what is happening and instead thinking this is a messy case of psychiatric malpractice.

The preview of the UFO silently gliding into frame over the house is esp good. Near the very end you find out the Milla's character and her husband have been abducted as well. Her husband killed himself because of the incredible fear the abduction generates. We have watched a few hypnotic regressions but the one that reveals all is Milla's conducted by a fellow psychologist.

You see and hear what she experienced. It's chilling to hear one alien claim to be God. This seems straight out of Chuck Missler's book, "Alien Encounters: The Secret Behind the UFO Phenomenon". If this is real as touted by the previews it is a glimpse of things to come in the end times. The alien tech is so advanced it seems supernatural; however, if they are really demons masquerading as aliens then it makes even more sense.

I tried looking up a few of the characters from the movie and found no info on the main characters. There was no disclaimer at the beginning about identities. So were these characters created for the movie? I found a short blurb that said the disappearances in the Nome area actually match the disappearance rates in other small Alaska towns. Most are caused by intoxication and how close the wilderness is to the city.

It is an intriguing movie but whether it is based on reality or not, who knows.
