Interesting episode. Not much of a day off. It seemed more real to have them off on another case while Hotch was being attacked.

I love this show :)

Great episode! What a setup for future episodes. I'm glad Hotch is ok, but knowing that Haley and Jack need to be in protective custody until the reaper is caught is awful for him.

Did anyone else get the feeling that the officer who took Haley and Jack into protective custody was not on the up and up?

Yes! Probably because he's played a bad cop before on other shows.

Protective custody and only 1 cop!!!! Something is not what is should be there! And usually in cases like that they are 'spirited' away not watched as they are paraded in public.

I half expected them to see the Reaper across the street as they stared at the car from the hospital window.

Hmmm...we'll see...

I personally think he was in a window just down the hall!

I'm hoping the officer who took Haley and Jack into protective custody is a good guy. I don't underestimate the cleverness of the Reaper, though. He might have wanted this to happen to keep torturing Hotch.

There was something about the camera angles as they panned back and forth from our guys, to Haley and the cop.

It is ok, if I did not want to see "spoilers" I should not have peeked at the thread. BTW, my hubby did not want me to watch without him. So, I still have not gotten to see the premier! AHHH!

Nothing is ruined for me. I can see parts of episodes then watch the whole thing and not be bothered.

The Reaper is into control and power. He would not send someone else to kidnap the family, because he has to be in control. Haven't you guys been paying attention to the profile?

I did not find the cop to be odd but I did find it odd that they brought Hailey and Jack to say good-bye. Didn't they think that the Reaper might be watching? Couldn't he have just followed the car and killed that ONE cop that was guarding them? That did not seem to be a good plan to me.

Hotch was right, the reaper could quit killing and disappear then Hailey and Jack would have to stay away for a long time which would hurt him the most.

Ahhh... but maybe it's a plot to draw the reaper out?

It's kinda weird hypothisising on an episode I haven't seen and have no idea who the reaper is!

That was my take too! But then again maybe they had someone watching the reaper watch them!!!

I'm confused. C. Thomas Howell is the Reaper but he also played the parapalegic insane guy with the mentally handicapped brother who did all that killing of girls a couple seasons ago. He wasn't the same character (obviously since he was bedridden in that one and is not as the Reaper...) but is the two supposed to be related or something?

You mean the pig farmer guy. That was the end of last season. I think it was the season finale. That is weird. I do see that it is the same guy.

Could he have been healed? Can it be the same guy? He escaped prison as the reaper right? That pig farmer episode was so so gross!
