What are some break up lines that you have been told.
For me it's - "I'm not ready to go where my feelings are taking me."

Oh, and those lines are not a reflection of who I really am. Just an attempt to crush my self-esteem.

I have never used any "lines" because I have never had a relationship where I had such little respect for a person. We openly communicated and agreed to be friends, but nothing intimate.
Using "lines" is similiar to telling lies imo.

I once broke up with a guy saying, "this was a phase for me, not really a relationship and I'm over it."
YIKES! It was true, but I'm sure those words hurt.

Whoa - I NEVER said I was proud of it. And I agree with you 100%. It was a completely unhealthy relationship that neither of us should have been in - and he was borderline abusive. I'm not proud of ending it that way, but it happened. I should have taken the high road.
