Todays kids need a computer and the costs don't stop there. In order to use them they require software and that doesn't come cheap. The standard has been MicroSoft Office and price has been....well lets just say put your credit card down. Now there is an alternative to the high price of MS Office. Its called Open Office and it contains all the similar suite of programs that MS Office has, word processor, spread sheet, data base, draw, and presentation software. Best of all Open Office is 100% FREE and it is compatible with MS Office formats. So if you want you can open and save to MS Office files. If you want to save a bundle of cash or even expand your back to school software base then you'll want to download the full featured and FREE Open Office.
