I don't have a problem with being homeschooled really since I have been my whole life it is just I want to do sports and I can't thru the public schools like you can in other states. And I don't get to see my friends like other people do. If I did go to public schools I would do drama too. So sometimes I wish I went to public schools. But I don't have any homework, I have less schools, and I don't have to get up early. :D

Me.

I have been home schooled since the 3rd grade and haven't had any friends since. So that has been a major downside to this home schooling thing. You don't get to work with people and talk to other kids your age regularly when home schooled. At least for me that has been the case. I wanted to go back to a public school for the last 3 years and get my diploma that way instead. But my mom just wouldn't accept it. But overall I guess I'm happy. It has kept me out of trouble and has helped me stick too my faith.

I didn't/don't have your problem, (although I can image how that could happen) maybe because I don't have anything to compare it to-since I was homeschooled k-12.

Do you know any other homeschoolers? Are you apart of a cluster group? In my area there is tons of support for homeschool families. Also I go to a church where about 90% of the families homeschool so like everyone I know is homeschooled.

This is why I love being homeschooled the most, I know that I would not have the faith I have today if not for being homeschooled. Also my relationship with my parents and siblings would not be as good.

But you all have brought up some interesting topics....what about the other homeschoolers-

Do you feel like you would have more friends if you went to public school?

Do you know a lot of homeschoolers or do you feel like the only one out there who's schooled at home?

How about sports, do you play any and how/with whom?

Nope. But we just moved, and some of the neighbors say that there are a couple of families here that home school. However, they are a lot younger than me. That has been the case for the past 10 years. All the neighborhood kids have been way younger than me. I did have friends whose parents were missionaries, but they moved away right after we got to know each other. That was the only time I had any friends.

I didn't think about that.

Only those on here.

Would love too play football. Which was another reason to go back to a public school.
