Is anybody else out there watching this show? Several of my co-workers and I are, and I commented to one of them that the show has the good, the bad and the ugly. She quickly added, "And the stupid!"
I thought they had some really good acts on this week's show, especially the man who sang "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" by the Temptations (he had the crowd eating out of his hand) and the little Asian girl who did the contortionist act - I think she should be in Cirque du Soleil!
I thought the couple who did the "polka today" was pretty bad, but I did feel sorry for them because they seemed so disappointed. I thought the act where the little girl was acting like she was beating up her dad was just weird.

I'm only watching parts of it when nothing else is on.
A lot of these people should not be getting through. Ugh. Too many horrible acts from people that just want to be on tv for 5 minutes. Hopefully the top ten are decent.

Probably can watch more now since Hell's kitchen's over. We DVR one show with that little boy David singing Ben. That was so sweet and it's hard to believe he's got autism. He will not get praises just because he's cute ....that little kid can really sing and there's such innocence in him since most of the little kids singing in that show before had some kind of an attitude. I also like the Sinatra guy-- great voice. The 7 ft guy with the milk drinking still makes me cringe and I had my eyes half open when he was on.

I don't think a lot of the circusy-type acts can really go very far, even if they're impressive in the auditions.
I liked the black guy in the first audition who sang opera (Neal Boyd -- just looked it up), Eli Mattson who sang "Walking in Memphis," the autistic boy who sang "Ben," the guy who sang "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," the guy from last night who sang "You Lift Me Up." I don't know why the crowd was against him at first -- he had a beautiful voice!
I also liked "Nuttin' But Stringz." the Frank Sinatra Guy, and the James Gang.
You can find most of these on You Tube.
I wish they would keep anything remotely adult or stripper-like OFF the show.

The disappointing part of this show is it seems that if you don't have some singing involved in your act, you are not likely to win. They carry through a lot of singing acts & I thought the concept of the show was to give other type acts a chance to win. Seems that certain specialty acts may need their own show in order to have a chance (accordian players, for sure).
But, also I'm tired of Sharon's constant "I love you" to all the flaming you know whats. It just makes me sick. I'm not a huge fan of this show, but I do enjoy the last couple of weeks. Yes, I tuned in too due to Hell's Kitchen being over. kd

I'm not an avid watcher of it, but whenever I'm flipping through channels and I see it I'll watch it. It's pretty fun to watch, since they usually show the interesting talents. It's more fun to watch than American Idol(Which I also watch xD).

I think it is a good idea for those in the talent industry to watch this show. I say that because the judges are the pits. There's a lot of good potential being voted off every week & then they waste our time keeping on things so unrealistic like calling divas talent. I declare, if a guy who goes through the trouble to become a woman on this show thinks that is talent & the country allows that to win, well I just may have to shut down my TV forever! As far as the muscial talent, I didn't see justification in a 12 year w/ good voice & piano skills being voted off while allowing the 4 & 9 year old to continue. Yes, I think they are absolutely adorable, but didn't see at all why the 12 year old didn't continue & also allowing entire groups to continue as well. I thought that Kat was excellent & could not see why she was voted off. She needs to be on Broadway. I'm hoping by voting time there will be something left worth voting for. These judges don't have a clue! kd

I guess what the judges have been trying to emphasize, at least this season, that voters may not be catching - it's not whether people will spend money to see them, it's if people will spend money in LAS VEGAS to see them. I can't watch the show right now. In transition w/ going satellite & can't pick up Fox right now. Will need to depend on you guys to tell me what's going on. kd

Watched tonight and thought Nuttin But Stringz (the two guys who played violins) were awesome! I thought the little 4-year-old girl did a great job with her song, but I'm not sure she would be able to put on a show in Las Vegas, if you know what I mean.
I'm not all that crazy about the Tapping Dads - they're good, but I don't know that I'd want to watch an hour of tap dancing.
I kind of hate to admit it, but I find myself agreeing with Piers a lot, especially on the acts he votes against.

In some ways, it seems like he's gotten a little mellower this season. Almost like a Simon overhaul! I'm sure the real Piers will show up sometime though. He can't contain himself!
Can anyone tell me who passed through both nights since I can't watch it this week? kd

Same here!  They reminded me of the duo of Irish violonists in "Lord of the Dance." Both groups brought the house down.

I'm not comfortable with her being on there. Yeah, she's adorable and all that, but you hear so many horror stories about child stars.  I wish her parents would have let her have a normal childhood.

That's what I thought. Actually, LOTD is mainly tapping, but in that case the dancers were professionals and very, very good. These poor guys looked like what they are--amateurs. I like them, and I'm glad they want to spend time with their kids. But I wouldn't spend money on them.

Same here! And Sharon, too, except for that Zooperstars fiasco. My husband is English, so I wonder if his culture has rubbed off on me. 
BTW, what did y'all think of the magicians? I'm glad they're both gone. I thought they were both terrible.

Last night's acts:
Bryan Cheatham--the black former Chippendale's guy. Touching video about how his parents had never seen him perform, so he gave up the, er, dancing for singing. His performance was cheesy, though. Almost karaoke. I wish he would get through. He's got talent, he's just trying to find his image.
Donald Braswell--guy who thought he'd never speak again. Great performance of "Impossible Dream." Made me tear up.
Dorae Saunders--Great Tina Turner performance again. (Anybody remember the song?) I do agree with Piers, though: it bothers me slightly that she's lyp sincing and not really singing.
Dallas Desperados Dancers--nothing spectacular
Eli Mattson--outstanding performance singing and accompanying himself on piano. I think it was his own song, but I'm not sure. Anyway, it was beautiful, all about being in pain after a broken relationship but having to hide it from the world. I think just about everybody can relate to that.
Flambeaux--the guy who plays with fire. Terrible. Last night was some sort of weird pagan ritual, in which he mainly ran around and blew on a flaming torch. 
Indiggo--duo from Romania. Terrible. Sang a really cheesy song, half of which I couldn't even understand.
Kaitlyn Maher--the little girl. Adorable as usual.
The Tapping Dads--good but not great.
Nuttin But Stringz--absolutely awesome. Would pay money to see them.
The acts who made it through after Tuesday ...
Jonathan Burkin, Sarah Lenore, Joseph Hall (Elvis wannabee--love him), The Tauble Family (love 'em), and Sickstep (hip hop dance group who did great).
And the acts who went home....
Bruce Block--that terrible magician who did the horse act.
Texas State Strutters--average
Shequida--opera singng disco queen. Yuk.
Matthew Piazzi--agreed with Piers. His impression act went pear-shaped when he hit the piano.
Michael Strelo-Smith--"I gave up my career as a teacher to sing." You should have stayed a teacher.  Was not impressed at all--by the attitude, by the choice of song, by anything.

Ok, so what happened? I missed it tuesday and wednesday. cos i have a ngiht class on tuesday's and i forgot about it on wednesday. did my little girl go home? the 4-year old? i dont know there names. haha.

I'm ready for Sharon to go home. She doesn't have a clue what talent is. Does she notice that her crossdressing folks always get voted off in the first round? 60% of what they put through is a waste of viewing time. I'm almost to the point of saying this show should be canned. I would be embarrassed to perform w/ the likes of some of these people. You never see this ridiculousness move on on AI. Why must they do this on NBC? kd

Amen, sister! When one of those acts made the "Judge's List" that the TV audience could vote on to bring back, I prayed. "Please not that one. Any act but that one."
Having said that, I'm so glad America voted to bring Donald Braswell back. I tear up every time he sings.

Tonight's Acts
The Cadence (drumming act)--not bad. They definitely look fiercer now (per Sharon). I think I liked it better last week with the water, though.
Queen Emily--very good, but I liked last week better
The Wright Kids--loved it. They tackled "Rockin' Robin" and nailed it.
James Gang--really cute rendition of "Hit the Road Jack"
Daniel Jens (the soldier)--I don't know if his mike was turned down, but it was hard to hear him at first. Pretty good after that. Piers buzzed him and told him to go back into the Army. Sharon's ticked off.
Zooperstars--colossal mess. Somebody please put this act out of our misery. Sharon and Dave turned against them tonight. Couldn't they have done that last week?
Neal E. Boyd (opera singer)--very well. Sang one of my favorite songs but I can't remember the name of it. Moving video about how his mother finally got to see him in person
Jessica Price (small town girl)--bland tonight
Extreme Dance FX (clogging)--much better than in past weeks
Paul Salos (Sinatra)--pretty good but not great. Said had trouble hearing music through the ear plug--wonder if that's what happened to other performers?
